The competition is a written examination with objective questions and writing in order to test how well participants is with French phonetics, basic grammar, French culture, reading comprehension and writing expression. Our French students wanted to test how well they master French, so they joined the competition actively. They got a good result by using their own French knowledge. Among this, three students (Grade 2016 Class1 Zeng Yongxing, Grade 2017 Class1 Su Xiaohui, Grade 2014 English-French Class Lian Xiaomin) ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively in SZU. The three students with their excellent scores entered the finals. Their scores were sent to Paris-headquater of ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE to take part into the final competition.

Among 400 contestants who enter the final round, our three students made themselves stand out and ranked the top100, Zeng Yongxing 35th, Su Xiaohui 48th, Lian Xiaomin 70th. Congratulations to all these three students! There is no doubt that their good results in the way of French learning owed not only to their efforts, but also their teachers’ imparting.

French is a language of innovation, influence and diversification. There are almost 30 million people speaking French all over the world. In recent years, there has been a wave of learning French in China with about 135,000 learning French. As a student majoring in French, we know how charming French is, so we should gain French knowledge as much as possible and take every French competition to show ourselves.
