In the face of the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, everyone is working and contributing in a different way. How to strengthen the ideological guidance, psychological counseling and life guidance for graduate students during the epidemic? At 3pm on March 9, 2020, the graduate student branch of the School of Foreign Languages of Shenzhen University quickly organized an online ideological and political course with the theme of "unite as one, take good precautions", presided by the secretary of the branch Cui Jie and the dean Zhang Xiaohong of the School of Foreign Languages.
Centering on the theme of "Jointly fighting the epidemic", Dean Zhang guided students from sensibility to rationality and from small families to big families with the way students liked and approved so as to deepen their understanding of "patriotism", "life responsibility", "moral cultivation" and so on. She called on everyone to be a fighter against the epidemic, inspiring the emotional resonance of loving the Party, patriotism and socialism, and actively contributing to the spirit of humble dedication in his/her post.
From the outline and method of fighting against the epidemic, Zhang led the party members to learn from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on COVID-19 prevention and control, strengthened the resolve to overcome the epidemic by giving full play to the advantages of the system and the efforts of the people of all ethnic groups in China, as well as their strong mobilization capacity and comprehensive strength under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. She guided the students to deeply feel the advantages of the national system and governance system that focuses on doing big things, strengthen the "four consciences", confirm the "four self-confidence", and achieve the "two safeguards".
At the same time, Dean Zhang, as a member of the fight against the epidemic, carries forward the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance when one side is in trouble, plays a leading role, and does her best to contribute, actively donating and collecting money to send medical teams and deliver relief supplies to Wuhan. As a recent recorder, she recorded the moving deeds of the " countermarch people" around her and told the party members of the students the stories of fighting against the epidemic behind the photos. The protagonists of these stories are ordinary people, but they are doing extraordinary things. The spirit of sacrifice oneself for others and the family for everyone has deeply touched the students, enhanced the confidence of the Party Central Committee and the country to win the battle against the epidemic, and guided the young students to actively contribute their youth to the epidemic prevention under the premise of doing a good job in prevention.
Next, Dean Zhang told the touching stories of frontline medical workers through their superb medical technology and their noble spirit of treating the wounded and saving the dying. These heart-warming stories are integrated into ideological and political teaching as teaching cases, which have strengthened patriotism education, legal education and life education, guided students to learn advanced models. It also helped young students to improve their ideological and moral cultivation and legal literacy, combine knowledge and practice, and grow into new people of the era who are shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.
Finally, Zhang introduced the anti-epidemic teaching front composed of the "four action" teaching program. In response to the call, teachers of the college actively carried out actions, seriously studied the ways and methods of online teaching. They carefully prepared teaching resources, made good implementation plans of online teaching, used a variety of teaching platforms, carried out teaching in strict accordance with the schedule, and strived to never relax online teaching under the epidemic situation, so as to achieve the teaching effect without compromising.

This ideological and political course responded to the confusion encountered by the students in a timely manner, untied the knot in mind, paid close attention to the needs of each student, and comforted all kinds of emotions, which just highlighted the significance and value of online ideological and political course.
