    College of International Studies Holds 2026 Graduation Ceremony

    On the afternoon of June 26, 2026, the College of International Studies at Shenzhen University held its graduation and degree conferral ceremony for the Class of 2026 at the International Conference Hall. The event was attended by Party Secretary Qiu Jiangping, Dean Dai Yonghong, Vice Deans Jin Nana, Jia Luyi, and Zhang Danyang, Deputy Party Secretary Li Huimin, distinguished chaired professors, coordinators of master’s programs, graduating class advisors, alumni representatives, and undergraduate and postgraduate graduates of the Class of 2026, along with their families. The ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Jin Nana.

    The ceremony opened with the national anthem, followed by reports from Vice Deans Jia Luyi and Zhang Danyang on the academic achievements of this year’s undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts.

    Student Voices: Language as Wings

    Graduate representative Liu Xiaolong reflected on his seven years at the university, sharing his journey of perseverance and growth through the college’s motto, “Bridging Worlds with Words.” Undergraduate representative Feng Haoyang looked back on four years of hard work, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his teachers and peers.

    Faculty representative Associate Professor Chen Rong offered parting words around three themes: seeing, language, and journeying. He reminded graduates that true language learning begins beyond campus, urging them to keep observing the world with empathy and humanity.

    Alumnus Zeng Huan, a distinguished educator and principal of Lequn Experimental Primary School, shared three pieces of advice: embrace a non-linear life path, stay perceptive as language practitioners, and never forget why you started.

    Dean’s Address: Stay Warm-Hearted Cultural Bridges

    Dean Dai Yonghong delivered a speech, encouraging graduates to stay grounded in their values amid the rise of AI. He urged them to remain cultural mediators, integrate language skills with technology, and always carry kindness and curiosity. He closed with a warm invitation to return to the campus often.

    The ceremony also recognized outstanding graduates, with Party Secretary Qiu Jiangping presenting awards to top achievers.












    Following the award segment, all graduates, college leadership, faculty, and alumni gathered at the Conference Center for a group photo, capturing the brightest moments of their youth.













    Degree Conferral: Stepping into a Brighter Future


    Vice Deans Jia Luyi and Zhang Danyang announced the degree awards and the list of undergraduate honors degree recipients. In a solemn and ceremonial atmosphere, Dean Dai Yonghong turned the tassel for each graduate, conferred the degree certificates, and posed for photos with them—a simple gesture carrying the college’s deepest expectations for their future.












    After the degree conferral, graduate representatives presented flowers to the presiding guests in gratitude for years of dedicated mentorship.



    Vice Dean Jin Nana concluded the ceremony by saying that “Bridging Worlds with Words, Sailing Toward the Light” is the college’s special wish for the Class of 2026, a reminder that the campus has taught them to measure the world through language, embrace cultural differences with tolerance, and illuminate their path with critical thinking.

    The ceremony drew to a close amid warm applause. Armed with linguistic and cultural keys, the foreign language graduates of the Class of 2026 are ready to navigate the AI era with human warmth, build bridges between civilizations, and pursue their own brilliant futures.
