She received a Bachelor of English Education, a Master of English Language and Literature and a Doctor of Philosophy in Hunan University of Science and Technology(1994), Shanghai Normal University(1999) and the University of Kansas, USA(2008) respectively. Before going abroad, she worked as an English teacher at Zhongnan Forestry College and Shenzhen Luohu Foreign Language School, and later taught Chinese to American college students at the University of Kansas and the University of Mississippi. She started to teach at the School of Foreign Languages, Shenzhen University in 2009. The main research area is TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). Main courses: Foreign Language Educational Psychology, Level 4 Test and Reading, English Test. Research interests: English teaching methods, language testing, language learning strategies, autonomous learning, etc.
