She received a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2014-2016). Currently, 7 academic papers have been published in SSCI journals , 1 paper has been published in CSSCI journal, and 1 monograph has been published by China Social Science Press. In 2016, in collaboration with Professor Virginia Yip of the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, published a Chinese Mandarin Children's Multimedia Longitudinal Corpus-Tong Corpus on the International Children's Language Research Resource Exchange System (CHILDES).
