She received her PhD in English linguistics at Xiamen University and joined Shenzhen University in the summer of 2005. She went to Central Lancashire University in United Kingdom as a visiting scholar in 2010. She received her second PhD in Translation and Linguistics at City University of Hong Kong in 2014. Her research areas include theoretical research on Systemic Functional Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Evaluation Study on English Speech Verbs. She has presided over a number of funded projects on topics such as ontological studies on speech verbs, and published 1 monograph, more than 10 papers in CSSCI journals and edited 3 books.
