Patrick earned an M.A. in English degree at the University of Saint Thomas, Minnesota in 1999 and a M.A. in Comparative & Public History at CUHK in 2011; he also spent a year in Osaka, Japan as an exchange student 1997-1998. He joined Shenzhen University in 2004.
His academic interests lie primarily in Chinese and world history, political economy. After work he likes watching and playing igo, swimming as hobbies.
