He obtained his PhD in Translation Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University. He is currently an Associate Professor of TS and English, a supervisor of MPhil candidates, and the coordinator of MPhil Program in Literature and TS at the College of International Studies, Shenzhen University. He is a member of AsiaTEFL, visiting scholar of Brunel University, UK and KU Leuven, Belgium on a short-term basis, a peer-reviewer of academic journals like The World of Translation, Interventions (SSCI/A&HCI), and the winner of championship of the Han Suyin International Translation Contest (aka Han Suyin Award for Young Translators) (Chinese to English). Dr. Xin’s research interests include TS, Moral Philosophy and FL Education Studies; he has authored a dozen of articles and essays on College English teaching and learning, translation studies, and translation ethics in CSSCI listed journals like Foreign Languages in China, The World of Foreign Languages, and Foreign Language Learning Theory and Practice.
