He is a lecturer of English Drama. He specialises in western drama history, ancient Greek theatre, Shakespeare and 20th century drama. He graduated from the University of South Wales with a BA Hons degree in Drama, Theatre and Media. He traveled to China after graduating in 2007 and began to settle in Shenzhen. He attended the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and completed his Masters of Fine Art in Drama, majoring in stage directing. Michael has directed and acted in many plays in Shenzhen and through-out China. He has performed at the Edinbrugh Fringe festival and has attended acting courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Michael has taught drama in Shenzhen for over 10 years and joined Shenzhen University as lecturer in drama in 2017.
