Biography
Dr. Yating Pan is an Assistant Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Shenzhen University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Communication from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Science in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Tsinghua University, where she also completed her postdoctoral research.
She joined Shenzhen University in Fall 2024, where she focuses on area studies and international communication research and teaching.
Dr. Pan has published one book and several high-quality papers in prestigious journals including Chinese Public Administration(《中国行政管理》) and Chinese Journal of Communication. She serves on the editorial board of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications and as a reviewer for multiple journals, including International Journal of Public Opinion Research and Social Sciences. Her main research interests include national image building, political communication, and public opinion management.
