He obtained a Ph.D degree in German from Tongji University and worked in the School of Humanities, Shenzhen University from 2004 to 2006. He joined the School of Foreign Languages in 2006. He joined programs at the Goethe-Institut in 2006, 2009 and 2016, and was a visting scholar at University of Bochum ruhr in 2017.
