He gave us a wonderful and inspiring academic lecture in Conference Room 1200 of the Literature Building: The Development Path of Interpreting Learning Ability And strategy.
At the beginning of the conference, Professor Gao Bin cited the ten guidelines for preliminary test of prospective translators of interpreters as the introduction of the lecture, allowing us to make a judgment on the subjective and objective factors of becoming a professional translator in order to understand and view ourselves more clearly.
Next, Professor Gao introduced us through a set of data on the development history of interpreting undergraduate and master degrees in domestic universities and the career development process of interpreting in the world, and presented the various stages of interpreting career development corresponding to the quality requirements of translators in the form of images. Later, she introduced us to the changes in interpreting learning paths and the evolution of learning resources in chronological order. She mentioned that with the rise of the Internet, the learning resources of interpreting have become rich and diversified, but there are also some drawbacks of resource fragmentation.
In addition, Professor Gao Bin also vividly explained the construction of interpreting theory and the strategies of interpreting learning through models and diagrams. Building a learning management model that integrates self-study data based on "training, management, and evaluation" to inspire us, and the "pyramid" advanced management model is also a very scientific way of interpreting learning. Professor Gao not only introduced her research experience in the field of interpreting, but also inspired our thinking on the road of interpreting learning and research in the future.
