On December 27th, according to the school's arrangement, the School of Foreign Languages hosted the eighth sub-forum of the 2017 International Young Scientist Forum (Humanities). At 2:00 pm, nine young scholars who graduated from Brown University, Paris Sorbonne University, Auckland University (New Zealand), University of Hong Kong, Shanghai International Studies University, Seoul National University and other famous universities at home and abroad, came to the conference room of the School of Foreign Languages as scheduled.
At the meeting, Chen Zhixing, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, first gave a welcome speech and briefly introduced the school’s humanities research results and key breakthroughs. Subsequently, the dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Professor Zhang Xiaohong, invited the young scholars to introduce their own scientific research content and future plans; Finally, Zhang Xiaohong, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Jing Haifeng, Dean of the School of Humanities, Xu Man, Executive Director of the China Overseas Interest Research Center, Ji Yinglin, Distinguished Professor of the School of Foreign Languages, Li Xiaojun, Assistant Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Wang Hongyan, Head of the Master Program of the School of Foreign Languages, and Humanities Li Yan, deputy director of the Department of Philosophy, and Professor Jiao Can of the School of Psychology and Sociology, commented one by one as commentators in various directions.
Scholars from inside and outside the school gathered to express their opinions and exchange sincerely in a harmonious atmosphere on a warm winter day. Finally, Professor Zhang Xiaohong, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, presented souvenirs to the visiting young scholars. All the guests took a group photo and left contact information with each other for further communication and exchanges. The eighth sub-forum of 2017 International Young Scientists ended successfully.
