The International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA) is an international academic organization with worldwide influence. The 22nd ICLA Congress in 2019 will be jointly sponsored by the International Comparative Literature Association, the Chinese Comparative Literature Association, the University of Macau, Shenzhen University and Saint Joseph University. It will be held in Shenzhen and Macao from July 25 to August 2, 2019, reflecting the new international academic conference mode of “one conference and two cities”. Entrusted by the International Comparative Literature Association and the Chinese Comparative Literature Association, Shenzhen University will host the “2019 Executive Committee Council of International Comparative Literature Association and International Comparative Literature Summit Forum” in Shenzhen from July 25 to 29, 2019.
Shenzhen University is a rapidly developing university of the Shenzhen Special Administrative Region, a window University and an experimental university. It has a longstanding and important relationship with comparative literature, Chinese comparative literature and international comparative literature institutions. Shenzhen University is the birthplace of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association. In 1985, 2005 and 2015, Shenzhen University held three annual meetings or high-level academic seminars of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association. The “2019 Executive Committee Council of the International Comparative Literature Association and International Comparative Literature Summit Forum” will be another grand event of comparative literature hosted by Shenzhen University. This council will bring together authoritative international comparative literature scholars from 19 countries, together with domestic scholars, gathering in Shenzhen to participate in this international comparative literature event.
Shenzhen University sincerely welcomes scholars from all over the world to attend the conference. The scale of the conference will accommodate 300 participants. The conference is open to ordinary participants. The conference fee is 1000 yuan per person for conference affairs, and 500 yuan per person for graduate students. Transportation and accommodation expenses are borne by participants themselves.
