He graduated with an M.A. from School of Foreign languages, Jilin University in 1997. He was a visiting lecturer at University of Central Lancashire in 2003. Since 1997 he has been working at the English Department of Shenzhen University, teaching courses of comprehensive English, listening, reading, journalistic English, etc. He is interested in comparative literature and theories regarding literature, culture and translating.
