Dr. Yizhou Lan is an Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Shenzhen University. He received his B.A. English and LL.B. Diplomacy from Beijing Foreign Studies University (2011) and his Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong (2016). He joined Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Japan in 2016. During his service, he was a member of the research committee and an editor of NUCB Journal of Language, Communication and Culture. He returned to Shenzhen in 2018 and has been teaching at Shenzhen University till now. Yizhou has established strong academic partnerships with linguists and language education experts worldwide. He has published extensively in journals such as PLoS One, Porta Linguarum, INTERSPEECH, Journal of Acoustical Society of America, and served as reviewers for Language and Speech, Porta Linguarum, etc. He likes working with students and has helped many win prizes in national and provincial English contests.
