    Director
    Professor Zhang Guangkui is the chief editor of Verse Version, the vice president of Guangdong Foreign Literature Association and the vice president of Guangdong Foreign Language Association. He has put forward Poepera and other theories. He is the author of Popular Poetics and has published more than 30 academic papers and poems at home and abroad, four translated books, two English poem collections and one Chinese poem collection.
     


    Deputy Director
    Professor Tong Xiaowei is an executive member of the China Association of Japan Literature. She has published one academic monograph and more than 20 academic papers in journals such as Comparative Literature in China. She is in charge of one project supported by the Ministry of Education. She has won the first prize of Excellent Achievements in Undergraduate Classroom Teaching of Shenzhen University for three consecutive years. She received the Tencent Excellent Teacher Award in 2015.
     


    Professor Zhang Xiaohong serves on the Executive Committee of the International Comparative Literature Association and as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association. She is a co-supervisor of Ph.D. candidates affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She is in charge of two research projects granted by the National Social Sciences Foundation and seven research projects granted by the Ministry of Education and Guangdong province. She has published over 60 academic articles with prestigious international and Chinese journals, five monographs, and eight translated books. She has authored several consultation articles that have been adopted and approved by the government.
     


    Professor Li Xiaojun’s expertise covers English literature, comparative literature and translation studies. He is in charge of one project supported by the Ministry of Education. He has published 5 monographs and more than 20 translated books. His translation of the book The Irresponsible Self won the One-Way Street Literature Award. He has published more than 30 papers in journals including Comparative Literature in China, Foreign Literatures and Du Shu.
     


    Professor Tan Zaixi is a leading scholar in translation studies in China. He served as a professor, a research fellow of the Center for Translation, and a member of the University Council of the Hong Kong Baptist University. He is also the 2009 Chair Professor of Nida Institute of Translation Studies and vice chairman of the executive committee of the 8th Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum. He has published 20 monographs/translated works and more than 200 research papers.
     


    Professor Gu Mingdong is an internationally renowned scholar in comparative literature and sinologist. He serves as the special adviser to The Norton Anthology of Theory and Criticism and as an evaluator of universities’ academic performance for world university rankings including Times Higher Education. He has written six English monographs/edited books and two Chinese monographs/edited books. He has published 150 papers in Chinese and English journals. His work has been reprinted more than 40 times by Xinhua Digest and the National People’s Congress.
     


    Professor Ning Yizhong is a National Second-Tier Professor, a recipient of the special allowance of the State Council, a council member of the China Society of Foreign Literature and the vice president of the British literature branch of the China Society of Foreign Literature. He has served as the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Hunan Normal University and the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Beijing Language and Culture University. He has published more than 80 papers in A&HCI- and CSSCI-indexed journals and 33 monographs/edited books/translated books.
     


    Professor Peng Xuanwei is an Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education in the New Century, a renowned scholar in systemic functional linguistics, the chairman of the Committee of Functional Linguistics of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, and an executive member of the International Systemic Functional Linguistics Association. He has published more than 140 research papers, including over 70 papers in SSCI- and A&HCI-indexed journals and 32 monographs/edited books/translated books.
     


    Professor Cai Xinle is a Leading Local Talent in Shenzhen, a council member of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, and a council member of the Translation Theory and Teaching Committee, Translators Association of China. He is known as “the leading figure of the Central Plains School” and is among the first batch of Distinguished Professors in Henan Province. He has completed one Key Project supported by the National Social Science Fund of China. He has published more than 100 research papers and more than 20 monographs/translated books. He is the co-editor of Guang Yi, the only journal in translation studies jointly run by the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
     


    Professor Jeroen Van de weijer is a Leading Local Talent in Shenzhen, an internationally renowned scholar in phonology, a winner of the Magnolia Government Award, a senior research fellow of the Dutch Royal Institute, and an “Oriental Scholar” in Shanghai. He leads the Academic Innovation Team of Guangdong Province in 2019. He has published more than 100 research papers, including 24 SSCI-indexed papers. His papers have been cited over 1000 citations. He has published 25 monographs/edited books/special issues.
     


    Professor Péter Hajdu, a renowned scholar in Hungarian comparative literature and classical philology. He served on the Executive Committee of the International Comparative Literature Association. He is currently the editor in chief of neohelicon, an international journal of comparative literature, and a member of the advisory committee of international journals including Proudy and Frontiers of Narrative Studies. He has published six monographs, 32 papers in A&HCI- and SSCI-indexed journals, ten edited academic books and six special issues. He is in charge of two national scientific research projects.
     


    Professor Zhang Jiliang is the vice director of the Translators Association of Guangdong Province, the director of the Translators Association of Shenzhen, and a council member of the Interpretation Committee of the Translators Association of China. He is a panel member of the doctoral dissertation defense committee of the Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation of Shanghai University of Foreign Studies and the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He has published more than 20 papers on interpretation studies in journals such as Chinese Translators Journal and Forum. He is the author of the world’s first monograph on the interpretation theory of the Paris Hermeneutics School. He has (co-)edited a collection of papers of an international conference on interpretation.
     


    Professor Wang Hui’s main research interests lie in missionary sinology, Chinese-English translation, translation in the late Qing Dynasty and during the May 4th movement. He is in charge of one project on the history of translation of four books, supported by the National Social Sciences Foundation, and one project on the translation of Confucian classics by Christian missionaries, granted by Guangdong province. He has published one English monograph and more than 20 academic papers in SSCI-indexed journals and other domestic and foreign journals.
     


    Professor Hua Weifen’s expertise covers foreign language teaching, autonomous learning and learning strategies. She is in charge of one project granted by Guangdong province. She has published one monograph more than 20 papers in CSSCI-indexed journals including Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Foreign Language World and Foreign Language Education. She has taught courses such as Comprehensive English, Schools of Foreign Language Teaching and other courses for English undergraduate and master students.
     


    Professor Chen Dongcheng is the proposer of the Yi Translatology theory. His expertise covers translation and Chinese Yi-ology. He has published three monographs and more than 40 papers in journals such as Studies of Zhouyi and Chinese Translators Journal. His monograph Yi Translatology won the second prize of the 8th Shenzhen Philosophy and Social Sciences Award and was included in the Shenzhen Social Sciences Yearbook 2017. He has won the first prize of the first Undergraduate Excellent Classroom Teaching Award of Shenzhen University.
     


    Professor Wang Hongyan is in charge of 5 research projects supported by the National Social Sciences Foundation, the Ministry of Education, and Guangdong province. Over the last five years, she has published nine papers in SSCI- and EI-indexed papers, applied for two national invention patents, and has been in charge of the construction of one language diagnosis lab. In 2019, she was awarded Excellent Teacher of Shenzhen.
     


    Secretary
    Dr. Huang Man’s main research fields are ecolinguistics, cognitive linguistics and contrastive linguistics, including the study of metaphors in literary texts, the cognition of vocabulary and ecological studies. Presided over or completed the annual project of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of Educational Science of Guangdong Province, the Youth Project of the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and the Youth Project of the National Philosophy and Social Science Fund. She published several papers in A&HCI and CSSCI source journals such as "Foreign Language Teaching", "Foreign Literature Research", "Ideological Front".
